Scoring methods
Short explanation of the 4 available scoring methods.
Classic
Gives direct points per position match. The closer a predicted athlete is to the official rank, the higher the score.
Spearman
Compares full ranking correlation. Rewards predictions that preserve the overall order, even when exact positions are slightly off.
Kendall Tau
Measures pairwise order agreement. Counts how many athlete pairs are in the same relative order as the official result.
NDCG / DCG
Ranking quality focused on top positions. Correct athletes near the top contribute more than correct athletes lower in the list.
